What goes through their minds?
So Sacrament meeting was fun today. One of the guys Billy works with had minor surgery last week so Billy had to work today in his place. That meant I got to spend Sacrament meeting alone fighting 4 kids into some form of reverance. Things start off fine. The older boys are entertaining themselves with that game where you draw a grid of dots and see who can make the most squares. Kierstin is letting me read her the Friend articles and Jaydin is sitting half paying attention to his brothers and half to the stories. One of the boys starts cheating and so they start fighting, resulting in their game being taken away. They sit sulking and glaring at each other and I go back to the story. Then, out of nowhere, a paper airplane flies by my face! I was horrified! I had seen Landin with a new piece of paper but stopped really paying attention to him. He's 11 and I figured he would be somewhat okay with a piece of paper. Yeah, right. :) Luckily, it stayed in our bench and didn't disrupt the entire meeting. Why is it that the 5 and 2-year olds are easier to deal with in Sacrament meeting than the 10 and 11-year olds? They should be able to calmly sit and play their dot game or read the Friend without fighting for 1 hour. The babies can! Sigh....... :)
